How can I make an appointment?
What if I need help now & I am not a current client of Eastwood Psychology?
What are your fees?
The "gap" payable is $54.50 with a referral from your G.P. called a Mental Health Care Plan. Thus, individual therapy costs $179.00 per consultation. The gap payable if you decide to use private health cover will vary from person to person, depending on the level of cover you have. You will need to check with your private health fund to find this out. Please note, a Medicare Mental Health Care Plan is for individual therapy; it does not cover couple therapy.
Please note that there are some limited consultation spaces available, at present, for Health Card holders who are on a pension or very limited income to be bulk billed. You will need a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP to access this service. Please contact Donna Riseley directly about this service.
Couple therapy is $180.00 per consultation. Family therapy starts from $185.00 per consultation. While not covered by Medicare, these treatments attract a rebate from your private health fund, provided those attending have the relevant extras cover. You will need to check directly with your fund. There will still be, in most cases, a gap to pay. This gap will vary from fund to fund as the rebate applicable varies from fund to fund.
Career counselling is also $179.00 per hour, but please note career counselling cannot be claimed on Medicare or your Private health fund.
A vocational assessment involves about three visits to the office and the time spent may vary from client to client so you will need to enquire directly to Donna Riseley to find out what this may cost. You can do this via an email or by a direct phone enquiry but do ask to speak directly to Donna. While she may not be able to take your call immediately as she may be consulting, Donna will call you back as soon as possible. Vocational assessments also cannot be claimed from Medicare or your private Health Fund

Do I need to bring anything with me for an appointment?
Yes, if you are expecting to claim from Medicare, you will need to make sure that you have a referral which is called a Mental Health Care Plan from your G.P. Sometimes, the doctor will give this to you to bring with you to the appointment. Sometimes, the doctor will forward this to this office separately. If you are going to claim from your private health fund you do not need a referral but you may have a letter from the doctor which is helpful to bring, but it is not essential in this case.
If you are coming in for career counselling or for a vocational assessment you do not need a referral, although if you have one this can be useful, but it is not essential.
Please note that you cannot claim career counselling or a vocational assessment from Medicare or from your Private health fund.
Please note, also that, if you want to use the online claiming services for private health cover you need to bring your card with you. If you are wanting to use the online claiming services for Medicare, you will need to bring your Medicare card or current number and a debit card that is attached to a cheque or savings account.
If you are at all unsure about all of this, please do not hesitate to contact Donna Riseley directly via email or the phone.
